Problems with Applying or associating an Application Monitor to a Node

I am able to create an application monitor and associate it with a node using the SDK in powershell. But it does not link the associated component(s) which are located in the components table. I have tried using the same method to create the component link but I get errors. I may not be supplying the correct required fields/values. How do I find out which table fields are required to create a new record?

Assigning applications to nodes via the SDK is not supported in the current release. It's not sufficient to make the right stuff show up in the database - there is other business logic that needs to run to make this happen. I'll let the product manager know you are interested in this feature - you are not the first one to ask about it.

Thank you for your feedback. As tdanner stated above, it's not currently possible to assign application templates programmatically to nodes via the SDK API. We're tracking this feature request internally as FB89029.
