When I used a version of NCM 7.3.2, is used for this application "Network Configuration Manager" on the server. After I made the update to version 7.4.1, this user-friendly application is not found.
I found a similar question. The answer to this can be found at the link: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/281619#281619.
The only workaround now is using a scheduled job to run the script
But this is a temporary solution.
When planning the work to implement the script, it is imperative to establish a checkmark "Save Job Log" and "Show commands in output" and run the job manually. When the work is completed, next to the name of this work will be a log on its implementation. Click on the icon log. Then click "Save" button in the window that opens.
I'm afraid I don't understand your question?
Funny, I registered just now to ask this same question! At least, I think it's the same question.
Before upgrading to the web only NCM v7.4, we were using v7.2 which had an application installed on the server. When running a script on multiple devices, the application would display all the results of the script run on each device in a single window. This was great for copy pasting the entire results into another program for analysis. Enter v7.4. Now when you run a script, the results are displayed per device in the web interface. If I want to run a script on 100 devices and see all the results, I now have to click each device and copy paste the information into a file one at a time. This can be very time consuming! The old fashioned way was great in a pinch and quite useful for certain tasks.
Does anyone know of a way to view the results of a script run similar to v7.2?
Yes. This situation I wanted to describe, when asked my question.
Now I would like to understand the situation. I incorrectly updated the NCM and that the this application is not installed? Or is an application specifically removed from the version 7.4.1 NCM?
If this application is removed in the version 7.4.1, I would like to know how now to collect the results of the script, when I run this script on a large number of devices, but all information is displayed in a single window, or saved to a separate file?
Wow, I inadvertently answered this question, which I didn't quite understand, by answering a question in another thread!! I think that's a first for me, at least when I didn't give the link myself! :-) Glad to help!!
This is one of the few complaints I had when upgrading to NCM 7.4--losing the ability to view all the outputs of scripted commands sent to multiple switches.
For this I am very grateful!
Just now it becomes not so convenient to unload script execution results from multiple devices, as it was in earlier versions.
