There was an alert that fired for one of our signaling lines. The e-mail just said a generic Voice PRI signaling sx/x/x:xx-Signaling down message. I was able to find this in the AlertLog table but nothing in the Events table. Also, I cannot find equipment that is down and there was no corresponding alert for the interface coming back up. I cannot find any signaling interfaces that are currently down. I did notice the Object ID field in the AlertLog table and searched for that ID in the Interfaces table. It was there and points to a specific interface but I am not sure if the ObjectID field in the AlertLog table corresponds to the InterfaceID field in the Interfaces table. Can anyone answer that?
Also, can anyone give me some hints on how to track down the alert that shows in the AlertLog table so I can figure out which of our branches this alert came from? Our routers all have names that indicate location and the interfaces usually have a description that includes the circuit ID. Should I be checking someplace else to ensure this interface has all the information necessary? Is there something inside Orion I need to check?
Sorry for the numerous questions but I am new to Orion and trying to sort out the Alerts, unsuccessfully as you can see. Thank you very much for your help and suggestions.
