In the spirit of Halloween, and discussions I have seen pop up on other tech related sites recently, I would like to hear peoples stories of having to deal with tech that should be long dead or anything else like that.
I have a perfect example to start things off. Last year (January 2016) while I was still working in the help desk I had to install a band new dot matrix printer in our lab. Yeah, I said that phrase and none of it is a typo. A brand new dot matrix printer, just manufactured and in its sealed box. It even came with 2 ribbon cartridges. Not only did I not know that dot matrix printers still existed in the world, but someone out there is still making the things!
