Just wanted to share what im upto and wondered if anyone else had done the same?
So the company I work for is very new to Solarwinds about 12months.
Solarwinds is my role i dont touch much else.
one of my objectives is to get people using it passing on knowledge, give people the tools to do there job.
Today was our first Thwack Camp which included:
- Questionnaire
- Get your picture done in the lab coat with glasses and the hammer.
- Shoot hoops with the basketball set with prizes that included the coffee cup, laptop sleeve, hammers, lab beaker.
- Had an AppleTV connected to a Solarwinds playlist on YouTube of the product videos.
- Had a another telly connected to my laptop answering questions about Solarwinds and walking through it.
- Food obviously.
Couple of hours for IT to walk in, went really well. This was for just one of our sites got another two to do, then was going to make it a regular thing.
Went with ThwackCamp as all the logos were made for me thanks to the forum.
oh and wore a Solarwinds t-shirt all day and then travelled in it across the country Free advertising. Got quite a few looks it was the 'rage against the virtUAE machine one.
Just wondered if anyone had done anything like this I know most won't have the time, and have any ideas for other things I could do.
