am looking for a free logiciel that collecte logs and put thems into a recorder in my computer ,and he send alerte about a mistake passe_word of equipement(router,switch) when we ping it....

i need it to do my application

Salut etoilemallak,

The Kiwi Syslog Server might be what you are looking for. It collects and process Syslog messages.

If you want to collect EventLogs from Windows Computers/Servers, you might want to have a look at the SNARE forwarder to generate Syslog Messages from EventLogs.

I have downloaded KiwiSyslogServer_8.3.52 but I don’t know why there are no logs about a false password of (router, switch….) (alerte)

For example when someone try to configure my( router, switch….)

If yes, are the syslog messages reaching the Kiwi Syslog machine?

If this is the case, could you ensure the Syslog server is listening for incoming packets on the UDP port 514 with a netstat -aob ?
