Simple logs for Cisco routers and HP Procurve switches

Hello

We have been using Kiwisyslog for years (Corp tool) but no-one ever looks at the logs as it is too much info.

So we just archive really big log files that we never use.

So I have decided that if we are going to continue with Kiwisyslog, we need to either simplify the logs or stop using it.

We only need to monitor:

Who and when someone connects and what changes were made.

Is this possible for a Cisco Router and HP procurve switch?

You sure can, instead of putting just a general logging statement, you can narrow it down to only send logs based on specific types of events.  Here is a doc from Cisco on logging config changes that I found just doing a quick Google search, I am sure you can find the others.
