Use IPAM to track Public IP's/Subnets

Hi,

I want to track my public IP allocations using solarwinds, there are various sites in my network, with multiple firewalls that have NAT etc enabled.

Is there an easy way to do this or do I have to create the subnet manually, then confirm what IP's are in use and mark them down - or will solarwinds be able to initiate an external scan once I've created the subnets?

If you don't already have any spreadsheets of data to import then yes you would just create the subnet manually and run a scan against it.
Solarwinds can initiate a scan of the IP's as long as your servers can route to those IP's. I wouldn't call it an "external" scan though, since it is effectively just a ping sweep initiated from your polling engine.
