Missing template mystery

Does anyone know where templates are saved off for Orion application monitor templates? A bit background, I am new to the site, I do not know the history behind the current build. I suspect during an upgrade or migration they were lost.

The user sent me a screen shot of templates that were saved off (I am trying to get a time frame from the user). The templates are definitely missing. If they are saved by Orion as a file, I'm assuming I will need to go to go to backup and retrieve files. If the templates are not saved as a file... do I have any other options?

The default is C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\APM\DefaultTemplates but your user may have chosen a different location. Search for .apm.template files.

Our APM developer corrected me, the templates are in the database until you export them. The directory I pointed you to has the shipped out of the box templates.

Thanks. I was able to reach the fellow who did the install. He reinstalled the APM and now they are back. It was some time since the install was done and apparently no one noticed until today that they were missing. I don't know if this is something I should be concerned about. I'm thinking I will wait and see if it occurs again.
