After scanning an IP Address range, all of the addresses are added as Dynamic. Since they are actually static addresses, how do I do a mass change of the Type? Also, what is the difference between Static and Static - User Managed?
Mass Edit via import/Export via Excel
1. Using the single edit dialog, modify the first IP address in the set you want to change.
2. Export the subnet & open the file in Excel.
3. Remove the columns you do not want to modify.
4. Remove the rows you do not want to modify
5. Use the Excel "fill down" feature to mass change quickly
6. Save the spreadsheet
7. Import into IPAM
... Also, what is the difference between Static and Static - User Managed?
"Static - User Managed" tells the scanning engine that all though it is present in the database, you manage it and the scanner will not attempt to contact the device.
But mister staff member, the main question (yet to be answered) is; "how do I do a mass change of the Type"
If impossible, then make it possible. And the answer is.....????
