I've just recommended to a colleague that he downloads and uses the IP Address Tracker tool that Solarwinds offer for free.
I didnt realise that it would install IIS and SQL express on his PC.
He is now quite angry with me. 
Surely as a free tool this would be much more lightweight and a much more usable product if it didn't have to rely on IIS and SQL express?
Do you have any other products I could recommend instead that are more lightweight but can scan IP address subnets / supernets / ranges and will allow me to export to Excel?
I already use IPAM every day for my IP addressing requirements and would always recommend this as the best option for long term management. Sometimes, however you just want a quick scan and reporting function and IP Address Tracker seems a bit of a long term thing rather than a quick tool...
