We are having an issue business objects crashing daily, and we would like to monitor all aspects of it. when i look in SAM, i do not see any templates related to Business Objects. can someone please recommend a way to monitor it?

Surprisingly, there are no templates in SAM content exchange. In any case, add your (Windows/Linux) BO servers as (WMI/SNMP) nodes in SAM first. Then follow the SAM Settings, Component Monitor Wizard to select the Services (if on Windows) / processes (if on Linux) to build a new template. That should cover off process related things which will help for things like memory leaks etc. Then you will need to extend this template to look for other error indicators (log files, windows error logs, etc) so that you are proactively alerted when it crashes again.
