What are some reasons one should choose PatchManager for deploying patches instead of Chef/Puppet?

So I guess Chef is the way to go?
Ive never used Chef but I thought it was more like SCCM for linux that now has windows support as well. If I recall correctly you have to make all the packages yourself and nothing is automatic or user friendly. I also have no idea if Chef integrates with WSUS but I dont remember hearing that it did.
