Setting up Monitored Network Objects.

When Setting up ports to be monitored in Orion / Alerts / Basic Alerts. I wish we could select multiple Ports off a switch. It's a very time consuming task to select all ports ONE AT A TIME from four different branch locations so they can be monitored under a specific monitoring scheme. Just a thought.

Do you mean you want to be able to select multiple ports to be monitored or for alerting?

Just for alerting. I just hate clicking 587 individual ports one at a time. A SHIFT_HOLD or select all between two points function would be great.

Are you referring to the "Monitored Network Objects" in the Basic Alerts?The current NPM version has got a "Select All" option ,so you don't have to select each ports manually.

This screenshot will give you a clue about the problem we have. Yes I know it is a big screenshot but this problem is also big.

Let me give you some examples: Let's say one of my devices has 450 interfaces and there is no way select all interfaces. Also we have 350 cisco 48 port switches in our system. And everytime when I update something on the interfaces I have to select one by one. This is not acceptable for us. Please fix this.

tbaggins post was about selecting ports in Basic Alert Manager (see screenshot below which I what I believe tbaggins was referring too), but you attached a screenshot of the manage nodes page.

What exactly are you trying to do by selecting all of these interfaces? Are you trying to edit the interfaces or maybe Assign Pollers? The reason I ask is, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, there might be a different work flow that makes more sense for you. For example, if you want to select all of the interfaces on the node named "Tex-3750", simply change the Node Management page from showing Nodes to Interfaces, then in the search bar enter the name of the node (in this example it would be Tex-3750) then click search. All of the interfaces should now correlate directly with that one node. Simply click the Select All button (see second screenshot where I highlighted the Select All checkbox). The first time or two it may take a minute, but in the future you should be able to quickly select a lot of interfaces.
