Perl applications/monitoring is continually up and down

New deployment to a RHEL 7 VM and using SNMP to monitor:

Linux CPU Monitoring Perl Linux DISK Monitoring Perl
Linux Memory Monitoring Perl

I regularly get alerts that

Application "Linux Memory Monitoring Perl" on <server> is in Critical State

soon followed by

"Linux Memory Monitoring Perl" on <server> is currently Up

As well as

"Amount of zombie processes" of Application "Linux Memory Monitoring Perl" on <server> is in a Critical state

and

"Amount of zombie processes" of Application "Linux Memory Monitoring Perl" on <server> is Up

The machine is running httpd and postfix, very light loads. 2 core, 4gb ram. But these messages continually flood my inbox.

I'm new to SW so any help is appreciated.
