My Alertlog table is completely blank.How to get the alert data from that table

I need to extract one report using that table but when im trying to fetch data from that it returned with no results .

When checked i found that alert log database table is empty.

Is there any way where i can do settings from console to get that alert data in the table?

Your help is greatly appreciated!!
