Hard Drive % used alerting

Hi people

I have setup some of the standard HDD alerts to alert me when the hard drives hit a 75% capacity.

I believe it uses the volume % used.

Anyway the alerts do not appear to work at all, I dont get notified and noting gets logged in orion.

Does anynoe know why this would not alert correctly? I have no issues with other alerts just the HDD one.

That would be your problem. The suppression doesn't exactly work as you might expect; it doesn't have any association to what is in the trigger condition. Basically what this says is that if you have any device in Orion where Volume Percent Used is less than 68, the alert will not trip.

If you remove this I am guessing it will start working properly.

Can you post a screen shot of the alert you have configured in the Alert Manager?

Do you need screens of the other tabs?

Assuming that you don't have anything in the Alert Suppression tab, your Trigger Action is setup correctly, and the alert is enabled; I would guess that this should work just fine as it's very similar to what I have setup.

Is it just not generating alerts or is it sending out incorrect alerts?

This is the alert supprssion tab.. would this be an issue ?

ITs not generating alerts at all..OTther alerts work perfectly that also have similar things in alert supprssion..
