Need help with Outlook Perfomance Monitors

I am trying to write a custom Application Monitor to monitor the status of our Outlook sessions. All our users use Terminal Servers to connect to our VM environment. Thus at times we may have 25 instances of Outlook running. I used the Find Processes, Services and Performance Counters wizard and searched Processes-WMI. I located all the Outlook Performance Counters and applied them to a new template. I do nto know what I should use for Instance settings. SHould I use the Convert Vlaue an dif so, what? When I apply the template to the server all I get is all red an ddown for everything. Anyone have any experience with Outlook monitoring?

To the best of my knowledge the Outlook Performance Counters have no definable instance. It may be different on a terminal server or Citrix XenApp host where the instance name is the name of the logged in user running Outlook. I would recommend opening perfmon.exe from the APM server and connecting to the terminal server and see what information is available. It's likely the results will be no different than they would be going through "Find Processes, Services, and Performance Counters" wizard in APM, but at least this will remove APM from the equation for testing purposes.
