Does anyone know if a client side application where i can test bandwidth to the internet at specific times?
I don't see anything in the solarwinds suite, which I wish I did, so I have to look else where. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Check out WAN Killer, which is part of the Engineer's Toolset. WAN Killer is a WAN traffic generator that lets you adjust the packet size, the bandwidth of the circuit, and the percentage of the bandwidth you want to load with randomly generated traffic.

There are several HTTP sites with bandwidth testers. You could script to one of these. Google "Bandwidth Test".

Thanks for the reply. I am aware that there are countless http based bandwidth testers out there. I am looking for a client side tool. As in something I can install on my laptop and connect to different networks ie. corporate wired or Free wireless and not have to go to a website.
I believe that I have found ine that meets many of my needs. Its called "MyConnection PC" It's made by the same company that make Visual Route called Visualware.
