WHD integration with NPM

Hi everyone,

I want to integrate NPM with WHD, I have connectivity to NPM, I can ping and I can remotely access my NPM server from WHD server, but when I try to integrate NPM with its correct IP and correct user name and password, which I am using for remote desktop as well, it gives me an error that "network communication error occurred", and when I try to connect with any other server (other than NPM), its gives me error "unable to connect to <IP address> on port 17778" can any body tell me what will be the cause of this issue.

I hate to state the obvious but have you checked the port 17778 is open on your Firewalls?

thanks for your reply but we don't have firewall between these two servers and windows firewall is also turn off on both servers.

I would also check to see if you have any anti-virus products running , as I have in the past them block traffic between Orion Components.

Thanks Derik for your reply, actually we have Symantec Endpoint protection installed in our WHD server but currently it is not connected with its main server also it is disabled on WHD server, but I don't know that it is running and blocking in background or not.
