hi
i began discovery i added ip's to discover.
2 things
1.) many IP's not discovered
2.) vendors not discovered, not windows not cisco nothing just discovery
what can i do?

1) Depending on the settings you chose when you set up the discovery it might not be using ICMP to detect the devices if that is the case it will skip items that don't have SNMP or WMI (depending on what you selected). Or it could just be the device was not reachable from the Orion server.
2) If the vendor is unknown it might be that the SNMP credentials were incorrect, but the device was reachable so it was added to your discovery.

It sounds like you've got some networking issues. Many times when devices aren't discovered, our networking team has to ensure that ACL's are in place properly, and SNMP is configured correctly (community string, and appropriate LAN). This could be the case for both of your issues.
Try installing the Solarwinds agent on a server you want to connect to and then see if it appears in Solarwinds. If it doesn't appear try adding the node and select Agent.
