Custom Property on new nodes

I am using Custom Property editor to sort my locaitons by Corporate or Retail locations and than the City Name. This works fine, however when I add new locations to SW and than try to place them correctly under the custom property editor, it follows the sort of Corporate or Retail but than instead of adding to the already created heading of the same city it makes a new one. So it shows as I have multiple raido buttons above and below each other for the same city. Any ideas on why this might not be putting them under the existing radio button or ICON and name already built?

The only thing I can think of is to make absolutely certain that the text is entered identically in the custom property fields. If you have an extra space at the beginning or end, the "Node Lists - Custom Grouping and Filtering" resource will still render just like your attached snapshot (without the spaces being visible).

Yeah that is what I had thought as well, so I took one and copied and pasted it to the others still no change at all.

Another option might be to write a SQL script. I've created some that I just run once a night to fill in my custom fields based on the Caption column in Nodes.

One example:

This basically takes the Caption and grabs the first part of it prior to the '-' after the 4th char (our naming convention is aa-bbb-xxxxxxxxx). This categorizes it into aa-bbb and I group based on the NPMGroup column in NPM.
