Changing how many objects a SolarWinds Report shows automatically

I have a report that is sent out daily to key people that contains all of the active alerts that have triggered in SolarWinds. It emails this out to them in a PDF format and that is working great. What is not working at all is that the alert defaults to only showing 5 items per page and there are a bunch of pages of alerts to go through but its a PDF so they cant scroll to the next page to see the other alerts that don't show up on the original page... I cant find anywhere a setting to tell the report how many items to include on the page, or to include all of them or anything like that. I really need this report to show all items, and not split them between pages, does anyone know if this is possible?

If you're not overly worried about the cosmetic look of the report I could send you a report template that shows all the active alerts on one single page using custom SQL, but they look little more basic.

Few questions for you:

1) Are you using the default All Active Alerts template in Reports? If so when you view the report within SolarWinds does it show the view correctly?

2) When you say that they can scroll down because it's in PDF? Can you attach a copy of the report?

I suspect that what has happened is that when the report was created it has had the "Show Only the top X Records" selected so it only outputs that number onto the report. This would be the same for your own view running it directly in your web console.

Go to Reports > All Reports - Select the report in question and select "View Report" - This should open a copy of the report in your web console. Whatever you see here should be exactly what is exported to PDF.

From that screen you can choose "Edit Report" and it will take you into the report writer. Under the 'Content' section you should see something like "Active Alerts" with an Edit button. Select that.

From the following screen (depending on the content you have selected) you should see an Edit Resource page, and if you look down below the table layout there is a section for filter. Check to ensure that is set how you want the information to be filtered.

1. Yes i am using the default All Active Alerts template in Reports. and it shows the view correctly, but in the view it will show 5 items, then have an arrow to view the other 4 items (or whatever it may be at the time) on the next page. That is all fine and dandy, but when it is sent as a report you cant click the go to next page button because its a PDF... Its hard to explain, i hope this screen shot will help.

2. Here is what the PDF essentially looks like when the report is sent out to them:

As you can see, it shows 5 alerts, but at the bottom it has a go to page 2 arrow, but its as useful to you as is it to the people receiving the report because its not actually a button in this format anymore. I need to get this to show all items rather than split them into different pages.

If you click on 'Show All' and then Export it, does that fix the issue?

it will for that one time, but this report gets generated daily at 8:30 am. so i cant go in and click show all every day, well i mean i could but i dont really want to have to do that.
