Update not applicable. Result code: 0x80240003 (Adobe Reader)

I created an Adobe Reader Update Package (from Adobe Subscription).

File is AdbeRdrUpd11012.msp

Defined Prerequisite Rule: Windows Version - Greater Than or Equal To: 6-1-0-0, Server

Deployed it to one Server with “Update management”.

Adobe Reader 11.0.11 is installed on this Server.

In the Task History there are the following Operation Details:

Operation: Install
Object: Reader 11.0.12 Update
Status: Not Applicable
Details: Update not applicable. Unable to find the Update by ID to perform the requested operation. The update may not be applicable for the selected computer Result Code: 0x80240003

I´m able to download the content from WSUS Server.

Fixed it!

Maybe there was something wrong with the Reader Installation!

Uninstalled Adobe Reader, reinstalled Version 11.0.0

After that I was able to install Patch 12 with Solarwinds Patch Manager!

Hi,

According to your prerequisite Rule this package will support only Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2 Operating systems.

- Make sure that you have used any one of these OSs.

- Check if you can install the msp manually on the same problematic machine.

- it is a Windows Server 2012 R2.

- In the beginning there was Adobe Reader 11.0.10 installed on this Server. Had the same problem with Update to 11.0.11 -> tried to install 11.0.11 manually and it worked without Problems.
