Adding resources?

I saw the example provided by pancamo where he did a custom resource to integrate Kiwi Syslogd with Orion it looks very interesting (www2.solarwinds.net/.../topic.asp and I would like to do much the same thing. I'm not sure how the custom resource fits in with the overall application though. If anyone could give me some pointers to where I might look to find out how to tie the resource to the web interface, I'd appreciate it. I've not seen anything in the manuals that addresses that level of detail.

FYI,

The next version of Orion (7.6) has support for Syslogging using the Solarwinds syslog app. I have not seen it or tried it, as it is still in Beta.

Thanks for the reply, we'll look into that as the product is released. I'd still like to get something working with Kiwi Syslogd in our environment for now, we are using it as our syslog tool and adding new software (the Solarwinds syslog) would be a larger effort than modifying what we have.

I'll keep the thread updated with my progress.
