Bad impression?

Hello all

If this is a newbie question, my apologies, but I was under the impression that there were alarm generated when the node threshold are reached?  By default I mean.

We had a device reach 100% CPU usage, which is above the default Orion threshold, but we did not get an alarm.  Is this normal?

Do I need to create the alarms myself?

This is what I see in my "edit node" management option:

That makes me believe that there is an alarm set up to warn me of High CPU load

But when I look in my "manage alerts", I don't see any alerts:

Am I missing something?

Go to your alerts web page and select manage alerts

You can sort your alerts by object type and should see nodes as an option.

Do you see a high CPU alert enabled?

Inversely you have or can add a resource to your node details page to show which alerts are enabled and will trigger for that node (not child objects though)

So check the node details page for that one with 100% CPU and see what alerts will trigger?
