I've looked a the release notes for all the modules I have and support notes for SQL only go up to SQL SP2.
Is SP3 supported?
Orion Platform 2015.1.3, IVIM 2.1.1, DPA 10.0.1, NPM 11.5.3, QoE 2.0, IPAM 4.3.1, Storage 5.1.0, SAM 6.2.3
SQL 2008 R2 SP3 is indeed supported
Hi scotthill What version of SQL? I'm guessing 2008 R2 from the SP number.
Generally speaking, you should be fine. The Upgrade Advisor throws a wobbly if you specify service packs for your SQL server, but I can't see how installing a collection of patches could make a base SQL server, which is supported, an unsupported platform.
I haven't had any problems, at any rate. If in doubt, raise a ticket with support to get the definitive answer
Thanks, oops. Checking to see if there are any issues going from SQL Server 2012 SP2 to SP3?
I wouldn't have thought so, scotthill. Default advice would be to backup your database first, and if the SQL server is a VM, snapshot/checkpoint it before deploying the SQL SP!
Scotthill, we are looking to patch to SP3 as well. I am curious to know if you made the jump to SP3 and if there were any repercussions on the SW side since they have not tested SP3 against their environment as of yet.
