Problems with removing old eval version

I installed an eval version last year og the Engineers Edition..5.0 I think. I tried to install the latest version but it will not accept my license key. I have uninstalled and cleaned the registry but still I get the same license error when I try to finish new version install. The error is ...That Software License Key is Different is for a different Computer/Software package combination. Looks like I may have to try a uninstall utility. Advice or suggestions.
