HP Proliant Updates

Seems like HP changed the format of their Proliant updates from PSP to PSS. I haven't had a new update posted since June '12. Does anyone know how to import the new PSS format into PatchManager? Being able to manage the HP updates from PatchManager was the compelling reason we purchased this software, but now it seems to have been abandoned.

I'm confused, Alan. Patch Manager provides automated daily synchronization with the HP catalogs. Are you saying that functionality is not working?

I'm not familiar with the designations 'PSP' and 'PSS' as apply to updates.

That is correct. The newest HP Proliant drivers I show are from June '12. The HP website indicates they will not be publishing PSP (Proliant Support Pack) updates after mid 2012 and will switch to the SPP (Service Pack for Proliant) format. So I need to figure out how to get the SPP format imported. They show how the SPP format can be imported in SCCM 2012, but not much help for PatchManager. Looks like PatchManger is expecting a .CAB file for the update catalog. If you look in the SPP DVD, there is no .CAB file to supply the catalog. Very disappointing.

So, based on what I read at HP ProLiant Updates Catalog for Microsoft System Center the location of the catalog for SCUP (the same catalog that Patch Manager uses), is listed in the "Microsoft third-party Partner Catalog List" ... except that it's not as far as I can see. Microsoft still has the old page listed on the only page I know of that links to the HP, Dell, and Adobe catalogs.

If you can point me to where you found the instructions to import the updates to ConfigMgr 2012 (or the ISO from which the SPP DVD is created), I might be able to extrapolate what, if anything, can be done to get them into Patch Manager.

I've also solicited help from the "big guns" on our Patch Manager and catalog content team, but inasmuch as it's now 7pm on Friday -- I can't make any promises for a weekend resolution.
