What version of NTA am I running? Need to apply hotfixes

Hi There,

I am needing to apply the NTA Hotfixes to fix our issue with the edit netflow sources page getting stuck on "loading..."

But how do I know what version of NTA I am running at the moment? To be honest I am not sure if these hotfixes have even been applied (nobody in my team does either - the Orion admin person has left the company)

On the Netflow page it says version 2.1, but is there anywhere I can see if the hotfixes have been installed?

Also when installing the hotfixes, can I just install the version 3 that fixes the "loading.." issue, or do I need to apply hotfix 1 to 4 in order? Any precuations before installing? Do I need to stop Orion running? Or is it just a double click and accept all the defaults? Will it need a reboot when done?

Any help would be fantastic!

Hotfixes are listed in the install log. You can also look in the registry under hklm>software>solarwinds>NetFlowTrafficAnalyzer>HotfixVersion.

All the NTA Hotfixes have been rolled up. The latest for v2.2 is Hotfix 4. You should not need to stop Orion and no reboot is necessary.

In the registry I I have Solarwinds>Orion>Core with no info on NTA or Hotfixes

Only thing relating to Network Traffic Analyzer is Solarwinds.Net>Netflow Traffic Analysis>Settings with no info re Hotfixes...

You said the lastest is hotfix 4 for v2.2, but I am running v2.1.. I presume this would have issues?

Also is there a default name for the install log, I have found C:\SolarWinds_Logging\NetflowCOMInterop.log and C:\Orion8.1_Install_Log.txt but they have no information regarding the hotfixes either.

It looks as though the Hotfixes have never been installed. They would be listed -> hklm>software>solarwinds>orion>core>HotfixVersion

When you login to the customer portal and click on downloads you will see the Hotfixes for version 2.1-

I have now installed the hotfixes but this has not resolved the issue.

It still sits on "Loading.." and then the page errors.

Any other ideas?
