SAM 6.2, NPM 11.5 Advanced Alert external programs not converting SQL variables

Has anyone seen an issue where the SQL variables are not converting into node names, ip addresses, dns names, etc.

We have mass amounts of auto remediation that are constantly fixing issues and once we upgraded to SAM 6.2 all of that has broken since our "run external program" option in the alert manager is not converting the SQL variable. With the new schema or the old, we are in Dyer need of assistance. Can anyone comment on a fix we can apply to get our auto remediation working again?

Have you verified the Trigger action is using the new macro/variable format introduced with the new Web Based Alert Manager? If the alert is still configured to use the older ${Caption} format and not the new ${N=SwisEntity;M=Caption}, that may explain why it's not working as expected.

Why would this have been a decided change with NPM and SAM? We just had to back out our upgrades due to this to the previous version because many of the alerts were not identifying the correct variables. We have over 1500 alerts, and custom reports setup and going through each of them one by one is going to be extremely time consuming. Even the response we received from Solarwinds support essential amounted to a "tough luck" response. Not impressed with this new version.

We are in the same boat. I cannot believe they are not providing us with a Tool of some sort to update the old variable names to the new, or why that conversion did not automatically occur during the upgrade is mind boggling! I now have to spend many many hours updating variables in 1000's of Advanced Alerts! Not a happy camper! My users are complaining because the alert emails are meaningless with variable names instead of actual values. Also, the interface to add variables to the alert message body is VERY slow so it is a real pain to go through this exercise of updating the variables.
