Can UNIX be monitored?

Hi there,

Can IPMonitor monitor unix?  We use HPUX 11.x and would like to know if this is possible, and if so what aspects of the OS can be monitored.

Yes, *NIX machines can be monitored using ipMonitor, but you'll need to install the free Net-SNMP agent on those systems (ipMonitor will pull standard HOST-RESOURCES-MIB statistics like CPU, memory, disk) OR enable the native SNMP agent on the system and leverage ipMonitor's custom SNMP wizard to monitor the desired values.   Here's a link for the Net-SNMP agent for HP-UX (http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/docs/README.hpux11.html).
