Does NPM provide you with 30sec BW information the same way MRTG does?

NPM settings are based on seconds, so it is possible to configure 30 second polling on an interface. However, I'm not so certain you should do so. Your device will be so busy responding to your queries, you'll create your own performance bottleneck by over polling. I think you could potentially configure 30 sec polling for temporary troubleshooting, but I'd advise against leaving it that way for long.

NPM allows for 15 second status polling and 1 minute statistical polling. If you need more frequent statistical polling I'd recommend the Engineers Toolset.
