Viewing hardware health across multiple servers in a single view

The new release of SAM is working great so far! I have a question regarding hardware health monitoring.

I would like to be able to view the status of some hardware components across many servers in a single view. For example, I'd like to see the status of all RAID controller batteries in Dell servers on one page, and also have another page to view all the ambient temperature values across the board. Is something like this possible?

Actually, now that I'm looking more closely, it appears SAM can only grab CMOS battery health and not PERC battery status from Dell servers. Is that something that could be added later? It would be very helpful to get an alert a few days before the controller starts the next battery learn cycle.

We are tracking a request for a hardware summary resource under FB113287 but from the sounds of it you might be looking for hardware statistic support in the Multiple Object Chart resource. Is that correct?

As for the PERC battery status, this may be something we overlooked. If you know which OID this is information is under and possibly an example MIB walk that shows this information, I can see about having it added.

Thanks, yes, being able to plot statistics from hardware resources in the Multiple Object Chart would be ideal. I'll wait to see what the hardware resource summary looks like too.

I don't have a MIB walk at this time, but I know that Nagios has a plugin that can check the state of the PERC battery -- exchange.nagios.org/.../details This doesn't appear to be able to determine when the battery learning will start though.

Yes - big thanks for this. Replacing the PERC battery is one of the most common taks we have on our hundreds of Dell servers, so this monitoring is critical
Right now, we use the Dell Open Manage Status (SNMP) APM module to do this monitoring, but would greatly prefer using the Hardware Health module instead.
