Advanced CPU Load Running As A Service

Has anyone successfully setup the Advanced CPU Load to run as a service? I have setup the application to run as a service and allowed it to interact with the desktop. However if the window is not opened, it will not collect information. I can add a shortcut upon startup and have it run minimized but I really prefer to just have it start and run in the background. If anyone has any idea's please let me know.
