When I went to use my Engineers Toolset today I was prompted with the following splash screen. Any idea why?
aLTeReGo - That usually comes about when another product has installed the eval version of the same component that we use. Sometimes repairing the install will fix it, or removing the offending app (if it placed a newer file version over ours) will fix the issue.

I saw such an error on Win 2008 before and it was resolved by setting application to be run incompatibility mode with previous version o Windows (e.g. 2003)
