Hi there....
We've been working on this problem for some time, and haven't come up with a solution as of yet. Unfortunately, the documents were a bit confusing so I'm hoping you all can interpret it for us.
This is in regards to adding a DHCP server to IPAM. We have the node added and visible. I've created a service account that has Local Administrator, DHCP User, and DHCP Administrator added to it.
I've added this account to Solarwinds.
Unfortunately, when we add the DHCP server to IPAM using those credentials, it's telling us
Test Failed Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer Learn more » |
What is confusing us in finding the solution is when the guide says...
IPAM impersonates the specified account on the local computer in order gain access. If the IPAM computer is not within the same windows domain as the DHCP server, the IPAM computer must have the identical account and password. |
I'm not sure what that means....where does the IPAM computer need the identical account and password? Local Administrators? I'm not sure.
