Java 7 Update 51

We have an Oracle system and it needs to run Java 7 Update 51. I have tried to create a new package and send it but it never seems to work right. I see there are the newer versions that been approved by SolarWinds. Is there a way to load a prior approved version that I don't need to recreate from scratch?

Not unless you previously downloaded the binaries for that update.

Oracle no longer makes legacy binaries available for use; such as to encourage the use of the latest security baseline.

If you did previously download the JRE7u51 binaries, then you can duplicate-and-modify the existing JRE7u51 packages, remove the EXPIRED and METADATA-ONLY flags, and publish.

From what they told me it is just the Java 7 update 51 standard installer with nothing special. I can not use the updated version since it will not work. I guess what I need is the Java 7 installer. Does that make any more sense? This is the first time using this software and I am still learning. I am going off what the Sales guy told me the software will do. He said I can install any software as long as it is a exe, api, etc.

We need to discuss this further, then.

First, JRE7u55 is the current security baseline, so by definition JRE7u51 has known and exploited security vulnerabilties

Second, all JRE7 updates are backwards compatible with any JRE7-based products.

So, in the absence of explicit information to the contrary, there's no reason you shouldn't be deploying JRE7u60.

The question then becomes this: What is the basis for the statement that JRE7u60 won't work?
