NTA browser annoyances

When viewing the NTA summary page with Firefox 3.6.x, the page refuses to scroll down--it keeps snapping back up to the top of the window. Doesn't happen with IE. Anybody else have this problem? It's not worth opening a support case over; I'm just curious if this is something simple, like a Firefox plugin incompatibility or something.

Interesting thing... occasionally when I load the NTA summary page when I first scroll wheel down to the bottom of the page it snaps back to the beginning again... almost like it's reloading the page again... this seems to happen when I try and scroll down before the page is done drawing all the resources on it...

If you wait until the whole page is done drawing can you scroll down to the bottom without that happening?

I'm using ff3.6.2 with the following extensions and NOT having the problem with NTA3.6-

Another thing you could try is to load one of extensions that let you use ie to render web page inside a FF tab as a workaround until you figure out what's causing it.

I too have that problem with Firefox, version 3.5.8. It doesn't seem to happen all the time though. Sometimes, it scrolls without issue. Strange.

That happens to me with IE7. My unproven observation is that it seems to be snapping to the top as each individual element on my NTA dashboard page loads up.

Maybe it's the same for you and it's just loading faster in IE than firefox?

I have the same exact problem - running Firefox 3.5.8. I just loaded the page using IE Tab in Firefox and it seems to be fine.

For me, even after the page has fully loaded, it still jumps back to the top indiscriminately.

You guys are right--it seems the delay in loading is due to the "top 5 applications" resource, which takes FOREVER to load. I had never noticed it before since I rarely look at it. I removed the resource from the view and now it works correctly. Thanks!

If this is more than a minor annoyance for you, please open a support ticket on this so we can investigate further.

Also, it's worthwhile to note that we're working on (next release) in-memory aggregation which will help significantly with the performance of key summary view resources like Top 5 applications which require fetching large quantities of data.

We also have this problem. IE 8 is the browser we're using. It also happens whenever the page refreshes, and it does so often enough to be a serious annoyance.

Is there some place we can set the refresh rate slower?
