Orion 8.5 hotfix probelm

I tried posting this once, but apparently I screwed something up so we will try again.

I installed the 8.5 hotfix patch this morning. During the installation there was an error saying "cannot delete service". It continued on and completed the installation. When the system was restarted I go "Cannot connect to database".

I rebooted the system again, and rerean the patch. This time the patch installed with no errors. Upon completion during the restart of services I once again got the "cannot connect to database" error.

I have opened a ticket with support team 18241, and we shall see what happens.

Hust thought you folks would like to know, before you try to install the patch.

Actually I made a mistake in my first posting. The error actually said "cannot connect to Orionms" which is the name of my Orion Server. It comes up immediately after the Network Manager screen show "Opening Orion Database".

Well, it is now working again. After taking the screen shot, I went in and shutdown all the related services I could find that had to do with Solarwinds or Orion. I then rebooted the server twice and magically, mystically it is now working again. I can't explain it, so I don't know what the cause or the fix really was.

Anyway thanks for your support and hopefully everything will get better from here forward.
