The Quick and Easy Guide to Setting Up .NET Monitoring and Troubleshooting for SAM?

I have a .NET server that gets hit with performance complaints all the time. I want to

know where in the stack of dependencies the problem lies. Can Solar Winds SAM

help? And if so - how do I set it up? A quick google search shows SW is claiming

to monitor .NET with SAM. But if I look at the pictures in the page below - it's

not showing .NET monitoring but rather the node selected is an F5. (?) And if

I go into SAM and I search for .NET or NET I get 17 apps but none are specifically

.NET. Can someone please point me to The Quick and Easy Guide to Setting

The template you are looking for is Appinsight for IIS this will monitor your application pools and give you insight into your .NET applications to enable this just do a list resources on the server that has IIS.

Great - thank you. Do I need to load an agent onto the monitored node? Would that give me additional performance insight?

You can do either agent or WMI here is a list of the comparisons for both.
