I am new to the Solarwinds configuration settings. Currently in our environment we have alerts on the High Volume percentage used set where anything 84% - 94% used is a warning, and anything above 95% is critical. The issue is this is set for all nodes across the board, and on some of those devices 95% isn't critical. Example would be the filesystems on our UNIX machines that are being used by Oracle. The DBA's will use all available space on the filesystem so 100% used on those filesystems is acceptable. However because of the alert settings being applied across the board it alerts critical all day long. Same would hold true on some of our Windows servers. A few of them are at 95% used static - never changes. Not a critical instance for these machines. However the alerts are going off.
Basically - what do I need to do to specify different acceptable levels of High Volume based on the device/Filesystem?
Any guidance would be appreciated
Scott
