Orion APM monitoring of Oracle trace files

I apologize if something similar has been asked before, but in the last two days of searching I have not been finding many results.

What we are trying to do is somehow extract errors that occur in Oracle and are recorded to trace files and get them to Orion. The biggest concern is getting all the ORA-* errors into either the syslog monitoring, or some other component where we can then generate alerts based on specific errors (such as deadlocks). We have the licenses for Kiwi, APM, NPM, and are running the latest versions of the products. Is there anyway to do this without generating seperate snmp traps per oracle error via scripts on the hosts.

I would recommend you take a look at APM's Log Parser application template. It should satisfy your requirements.

Reading over the information page for the script it appears that the perl would find all instances of an error, but can it be tuned to only find the most recent occurance? What I'm trying to do is have near realtime monitoring of Oracle Errors from the trace logs to notify our DBAs for severe errors. I need to make sure past occurrences won't be detected without moving/removing log files.
