Misspent youth playing Manic Miner, then I thought "hey this is fun"... and here I am.
I started out as a missile radar tech in the NAVY.
Got out in '79 and thought computers (very new then) were cool but could not afford one.
So, I took a correspondence course using my VA benefits.
The course was the "Master Course in MicroComputers" and the project, and the reason I took the course was because they sent you the parts to build your own Heathkit Computer !
It was a Z80 based, 2MHZ machine that originally ran HDOS before I 'upgraded' it to CPM.
I actually did learn a LOT and although the old Heathkit is long gone, the knowledge building blocks are still serving me well.
