How to display polling Engine as well as Other node information?

Hi Guys,

Can a report be created to display Polling Engines as well as other custom properties as such Device type, to which I can use to see which devices are on each of the pollers so that I can balance the different node types on the different pollers.

I have Device_Type e.g. Server, Network, Power etc and I want to be able to incorporate which poller they reside on.

SELECT  n.NodeID  ,n.Caption as Device  ,n.IP_Address as 'IP Address'  ,n.Vendor  ,n.MachineType as Model  ,e.ServerName as 'Polling Engine'FROM  Nodes nJOIN  Engines e on n.engineid = n.engineidORDER BY e.servername, n.vendor

I have this...

Select
N.NodeID As NodeID,
N.Caption As Device,
N.IP_Address As 'IP Address',
N.MachineType As 'Machine Type',
N.Device_Type As 'Device Type',
Engines.ServerName As 'Polling Engine'

From Nodes N

Join Engines on Nodes.IP_Address = Engines.IP

Order By Engines.ServerName, Nodes.Device_Type

But it doesn't recognise the bit after Join Engines, I'm not great at SQL but I can't seem to see why it doesn't work.

Any Suggestions?

N.Device_Type is not a valid column.

This should work for you:

Select

N.NodeID,

N.Caption,

N.IP_Address,

N.MachineType,

Engines.ServerName As 'Polling Engine'

From Nodes n

Join Engines on (N.IP_Address = Engines.IP)

Order By Engines.ServerName

I Got it working, hut I'm not pulling the correct information.

When I incorporate the engines tab I get just the polling engines. Basically I want to have all the devices I have being polled with all the information for which Poller they reside on. As it is, it is just showing the Pollers. Can anyone help me out with this?

While there are other issues, you do NEED to monitor the pollers as nodes in order for my version of the report to work.

is there a way to custom a chart where the this data is displayed like ( IP_Address we

already made the list we want to view , Last Boot, Peak CPU Load and Availibility ).....
The problem is that , AVAILIBIlity is in another type of report
