Using Orion to Monitor a Specific TCP Port

I have some servers that run Squid proxy.  Occasionally, the Squid service goes unresponsive, while the machine itself stays up.  I'm monitoring these servers with ICMP, so the machine responds to a ping even when Squid s non-functional.  Is there a way to use Orion to monitor responses on TCP port 3128, which is the Squid port?
