HCI (Hyper Converged Infrastructure) is the flavor of the year for organizations looking to upgrade datacenters. This coupled with the industry term SDN (Software Defined Networking) which is the de-coupling of the control and data planes are make huge leaps forward in web scalability. Newer companies like Nutanix have sprouted up and industry titans like Dell, HP, VMWare, Cisco, and NetApp are all looking for a piece of this pie.
