This is just a heads up on the system requirements for NCM. The website (www.solarwinds.com/.../sysreq.aspx) indicates support for "Windows XP SP2 or Windows 2003 Server (32-bit or 64-bit) including R2, with IIS installed". However, the documentation indicates IIS 6.0 is required. I first tried testing NCM with the 32-bit version of XP and discovered the 32-bit version of XP ships with IIS 5.1 and can not be upgraded to IIS 6.0 (the 64-bit version of XP does support IIS 6.0). I discovered this after not being able to get the web front-end to work (and subsequently switched my testing over to Windows Server).
In summary, I believe the website should be clearer to indicate that the web front-end will not work on the 32-bit version of XP for NCM. Just thought I should share this to hopefully save someone else from getting bit by this.
