Netflow Maintenance Schedule

Hi All,

I have the netflow maintenance settings as default, but I was wondering if there is anyway to find out when the "compress database and log files" job is actually due.

Its set for every ten days (as recommended), so I want to see when its due to happen.

Also, Is there anyway to setup an email on completion of that job to show me the results?

It is listed under events as Event Type Flow Correlation Service Started. As mentioned previously though, I don't see a native function that will alert based on this activity.

Additionally, How are the maintenance events categorized?

I want to see the history in the event viewer, but they do not appear to be under any of the options - I would have though "Informational" , but that log is empty.

currently you can see information about Database Maintenance events at NetFlow Traffic Analysis Summary view - Last 25 traffic Analysis Events resource (see attached screen-shot)

There is no possibility right now to send email on DB Maintenance events, but this sounds like a good feature request. I'll forward this to our PM for considering for future releases.

just to clarify. You can find settings for configuring NetFlow Database maintenance under Admin -> NTA Settings -> Database maintenance settings. By default Database maintenance is executed at 1:30 AM

Hey There,

I know I can see it there, but I removed that option from the Netflow view page as it just makes it look messy with the logs.

I presume I would then be able to see it in the events but those items do not seem to be categorized.

I may just have to add it back.. unfortunately..
