We currently have Orion SLX and in the middle of setting up for multiple devices to be added all at one time. One of the problems I face is that when I choose to import a 100+ devices at a time Orion only seems to allow me to select the Nic Interface and it automatically selects the CPU for Windows devices. However in the Novell environment it only select the Nic Interfaces.
My major question is I want to be able to select the Volume information as well for each of the devices, if not I need to run through each node independately and select what I want. This is time consuming and is a waste of effort, if the product allowed the import at time of discovery this would save hours of time. We have a huge network that I wish to monitor and define with Orion but the prospect of going into each node to modify the resources I require is a step back. Is there any SQL query that could be written to perform this task.
Not sure why this has not come up before as I find this a huge miss for such an excellent product.
